SUMMARY:ECOS-TCS 2023
DESCRIPTION:The next edition of the International ECOS-TCS Congress is planned on June 26-27\, 2023 in Paris\, at the UICP convention center. \nExtraCorporeal Organ Support (ECOS) and Temporary Circulatory Support (TCS) systems are indeed increasingly used and frequently associated to treat patients with cardiac\, respiratory\, kidney and liver failure and those needing blood purification techniques… \nWe will be pleased to welcome you in person in Paris in 2023 to discover more about the systems and platforms designed to support or replace organs compromised by sepsis\, trauma\, or specific cardiac\, respiratory\, kidney\, or liver acute diseases. Of course\, many sessions will discuss the use of ECOS devices and outcomes of patients with the most severe forms of COVID-19. A specific congress track will be dedicated to Temporary Circulatory Support (TCS) devices\, that are increasingly used by interventional cardiologists and intensivists to treat cardiogenic shock due to acute myocardial infarction and end-stage cardiac failure. \nThe Congress will provide state-of-the-art discussions on the indications and results of extracorporeal gas exchange techniques (venovenous ECMO and ECCO2R) for acute respiratory failure. Specific sessions will cover the latest evidence and practical management of patients with acute kidney injury in need of renal replacement therapy\, acute liver failure\, or pathologies requiring emergent blood purification techniques. \nCardiologists and particularly interventional cardiologists\, heart and lung surgeons\, pulmonologists\, nephrologists\, intensivists\, hematologists\, emergency physicians\, anesthesiologists\, respiratory therapists\, perfusionists\, and nurses will have the unique opportunity to discuss with world key opinion leaders all theoretical and practical management aspects of these emerging and very promising technologies. \nIn 2023\, the ECOS-TCS Congress will be combined with the June ECMO DIPLOMA session.\nCombine the unique experience of: \n– (upon a specific registration) graduating from the La Pitié ECMO DIPLOMA\, endorsed by EURO-ELSO\, the European Chapter of the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO) (you have to register here to attend this course)\n– attending the Paris ECOS-TCS international congress  \nThe ECMO DIPLOMA will take place on June 22-23 and 28-29 at La Pitié\, with lectures\, case studies\, practical hands-on and simulation sessions on devices and of course discussions of actual ECMO cases in small groups at patient’s bedside during ICU rounds. \nHope to see you in Paris next June! \n \n2023 Preliminary Program \nRegistrations for 2023 are open. \n  \n
